The NAPN 2007-2008 Scholarship winner is Chaunie Saelens of Bay City Michigan. Chaunie was a senior
at Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw. Her scholarship was awarded in memory of Judith
Schiminsky, NAPN Board Member of Front Royal, Virginia who passed away rather suddenly in 2006
of a cancer which was well advanced when it was detected. In addition to being a Board Member,
Judith was the director of a home for pregnant women in her home state and was an invaluable
resource for NAPN.

The March for Life this year is on Tuesday, January 22. Nurses who wish to participate and march with the NAPN banner will
assemble at the northwest conrner of 16th and Constitution at 12:00 noon. Since the weather is usually rather inclement, we are
no longer attempting to urge nurses to wear a uniform for the march unless you really want to and the weather does permit it. But we
would love to have you there. Contact number to call if you have questions or problems meeting up is 501-442-5773.
We have been endorsed by Priests for Life!:
The National Association of Pro-Life Nurses fills a critical need in the pro-life movement. There cannot be a Culture of Life without a medical community that vigorously affirms the sanctity of life. NAPN is making that happen, and I salute them for it!
